Actors talk of becoming one with the audience, and you
should try to forget yourself and engage with your audience.
You want to create a mutual rhythm and energy. You need
to use your whole body, your kinesthetics, to connect and
you need your feelings and emotions to be read by the
audience.
Like a stage actor, you’ll have to use bigger gestures
and facial expressions. Try to engage all the senses, so your
audience hears what you say, sees what you say, and feels
what you say. Include intelligent bits for the left brain and
emotional and visual bits for the right brain.
Come up with ways to involve your audience in your talk.
You can move through the group. You can ask questions.
You can set up competitions that get volunteers on the stage
to participate in solving a problem you propose in your talk.
